Easy Tips to Prevent Mosquito-Borne Diseases in Children

Diseases like Dengue and Malaria are spread by mosquito bites. Protect your child with these simple precautions:

Keep Mosquitoes Out

  • Use mosquito repellents, creams, or aerosols when needed.
  • Cover windows and doors with wire mesh or screens.
  • Dress children in full-sleeved shirts and full-length pants, especially in the evenings.

Remove Mosquito Breeding Spots

  • Cover all water tanks and containers tightly.
  • Empty and dry containers that can collect water—like buckets, tires, flower pots—regularly.
  • Change water in vases, drip trays, and pet bowls at least once a week.
  • Ensure there is no stagnant water in and around your home.
  • Dispose of waste properly in closed bins.
